LeBron James’ True Feelings on Lakers Owner Jeanie Buss Discussed

Jeanie Buss was really frustrated after the regular season. She spent a lot of money to pack the roster with talent, but players didn’t even make the play-in tournament. NBA analysts advised Buss to trade players, and yes, someone mentioned LeBron James. Well, LeBron shared his true feelings on Jeanie and this will probably shut down all the rumors about his departure from LA.

Brian Windhorst from ESPn reported that there’s no tension between LeBron and the Lakers owner.

“From the LeBron side, as far as I understand, and before I say this it’s important with LeBron that you have to keep taking the temperature,” Windhorst said. “Just because it’s certain one way on a Wednesday, doesn’t mean it will be Friday. But from what I understand, LeBron and Jeanie are in a good place right now. Despite the frustrations of the season, LeBron believes that a few tweaks and some health can actually turn this thing around and they can be super competitive. He is invested and wants to be there.”

LeBron discusses his true feelings about Jeanie and his future in LA

LeBron is entering free agency next season. His son Bronny is eligible to enter the NBA as well. Sam Amick from The Athletic reported that Buss won’t even think of trading King James at this point. She and Magic Johnson tried really hard to get him.

“If LeBron James ultimately decides against signing an extension with the Lakers in August, sources say Buss wouldn’t see his desire to play out the final season of his contract as a reason to consider trading him,” Amick reported. “Without an extension, James’ current deal will expire after next season (in which he’s owed $47.1 million).”

LeBron is doing his best on the floor and he really wants to add a few more titles to his portfolio. The Lakers looked like a championship winning team last season. Well, they didn’t win a title. Is LeBron mad? He had a MVP season after all.

“I think the front office will do whatever it takes to help this ballclub become a better ballclub from top to bottom,” LeBron said. “Ask me my opinion, I’m going to give my opinion, but at the end of the day, they’re going to make the decision that they feel is best for the franchise. … I came here to win a championship and I want to win more. So I accomplished what I wanted to accomplish, but I’m still hungry for more. I’m confident that this organization wants the same. That’s what this organization has always been about.”
