The Patriots veteran signs with a packed Chargers team

Head coach Bill Belichick made some plans for his linebacker unit and aging Van Noy was not a good fit. However, the Patriots will always have a special place in his heart.

“I’ll always be a Patriot. There’s no denying that,” Van Noy said Friday on the Pat McAfee Show. “But I’m definitely a Charger and I hope to be putting a Charger symbol right up to the Patriots because I want to be remembered as both.”

Van Noy joined the Chargers for a reason and he is ready to play his best football with his new team. The Chargers are coming off a good season and they are definitely motivated to continue playing at the same pace.

“I think it’s going to be a match made in heaven,” Van Noy said. “I’m going to do everything I can to bring that championship pedigree to that team. That’s something that is within me, and I’m a winner, and that’s what I want to bring.”

Van Noy won’t be the top option for the Chargers. However, LA will get the best of his potential. Van Noy is a champion, remember? He has a lot to offer. Let’s see what happens in the upcoming season. The Patriots didn’t sign Van Noy, but the Chargers were happy to get him.
