Patriots to Go Against NFC North Foe on Thanksgiving

The New England Patriots won’t enjoy their Thanksgiving dinner with the family because they will play against a tough opponent. According to Karen Guergian of the Boston Herald, the Patriots will go against the Minnesota Vikings on Thanksgiving in the upcoming season.

“Per source, the Patriots will be playing on Thanksgiving this year in a prime-time game Week 12 against the Vikings,” she tweeted on Thursday.

The Patriots are playing on Thanksgiving for the first time in a decade. They played on this day in 2012. Belichick and his team met the New York Jets at Metlife Stadium. It was a good day for the Patriots as they celebrated a 49-19 win. Tom Brady delivered three touchdowns and zero interceptions. Oh, fans will always remember this great game. Of course, this win didn’t take the Patriots to the Super Bowl. They finished the regular season with a 12-4 record, the Baltimore Ravens beat them in the conference championship.

Patriots have a big game on Thanksgiving

Minnesota looked really good in 2021. The Patriots haven’t played the Vikings in Minnesota since 2014. It was a big win for the team and the Patriots celebrated a 30-7 win. Patriots players joined forces to take the team to a big win. It was a good squad and Patriots fans have great memories.

Brady and his teammates traveled to Minnesota to meet his former backup Matt Cassell. The former Patriots quarterback taught him a lesson and Cassell delivered four interceptions.

How will things go this time? The Patriots are facing a good squad. Justin Jefferson is in charge and he is joining forces with Adam Thielen and Kirk Cousins. In 2021, Thielen delivered 726 yards and 10 touchdowns. Cousins was able to throw for 4,221 yards and 33 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Jefferson had 100 receptions for 1,616 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Let’s see what happens next season. Bill Belichick trusts his team and he hopes to see the best from Mac Jones. The second-year quarterback will take his team to the top this time. He did lead the team to a seven-game winning streak last season.
