Robert Horry and late NBA legend Kobe Bryant made a lot of great memories together. These two were making hot headlines back in the days and basketball fans will always remember their iconic performance. Well, Horry did magic on May 26, 2002. Remember that one, right?

I mean, how can you forget the game-winning triple in Game 4 of the 2002 Western Conference Finals? It was a monstrous shot and the Lakers reminded the world on the 20th anniversary.

Robert Horry and Kobe Bryant won

The franchise shared the video of the shot on Twitter. Horry shared it again. It was a wonderful play. Playoff plays are always awesome. Horry can’t forget Kobe’s reaction.

“20 yrs Damn! Great day, great memories. Watching Kobe’s reaction before the shot went in is incredible, because he knew!” wrote the former Lakers star.

Horry pushed his team up in the series. The Lakers were down 2-1 and the Sacramento Kings got the best of the game. However, trailing by just two points in the final moments of Game 4, Horry led the Lakers to a win. He got his ring. A well-deserved one. Many thought that the Lakers would fall into a 1-3 misery, but it was amazing. It was their third title in three seasons and players were more than excited about the accomplishments.

Kobe builds strong legacy

Kobe was a real legend who made great friends in the NBA. He spent his entire career with the Lakers, leading the team to five championships. Kobe was one of the most competitive players in the NBA and he was called the Black Mamba for a reason. Sadly, the Lakers legend lost his life in a tragic helicopter crash outside Los Angeles on January 26, 2020. Kobe wasn’t traveling by himself. Eight other people died in the crash, including his daughter Gianna. It was a real nightmare for the Bryant family and those who respected the NBA icon. Kobe was a true mentor for many young players and people still look up to him. The world will remember him as the one and only Black Mamba. A real superstar!
