Bill Belichick Allegedly Canceled Patriots Practice Next Week

The New England Patriots had their voluntary OTAs and also took part in mandatory minicamp. Players worked really hard and head coach Bill Belichick decided to reward Patriots by canceling practice. A great reward for hard-working folks, right? The Patriots have no days off and it’s all part of the Patriot Way. However, Belichick makes exceptions when things flow without any trouble.

Players were set to have their third and final practice of mandatory minicamp on Thursday morning, but their head coach called an audible. The weather did everyone a favor. Experts predicted heavy rain and thunderstorms in the Foxborough area, so Belichick decided to rest and get ready for the next stage of the offseason.

Patriots minicamp is over and the mandatory portion of the offseason workout program was brought to an end. New England planned to OTAs next week and the final two sessions will take place on Monday and Tuesday. We didn’t know if Belichick plans to cancel these two practices.

Bill Belichick has also canceled the final pair of OTA practices next week, per source. The Patriots will have voluntary workouts, but they’re done with organized practices until training camp. Belichick already canceled today’s minicamp finale as a reward for a strong offseason.

This has become a tradition. Belichick and his team has canceled the final week of OTAs in each and every season so far. They’d rather focus on team-building activities outside the field. Regardless of the plan, attendance is voluntary.

According to latest updates, Patriots canceled the final two OTAs. Players won’t take part in practices on Monday and Tuesday. Hard-working players get their reward each and every year. They’d rather take part in team-building activities.

Belichick has yet to confirm these activities, but we have a feeling that the Patriots won’t do any hard work.

Patriots players should get the best of their summer break. They will return to the facility in late July. Plenty of time to rest and get ready for the challenging season.

Patriots rookies did a good job in minicamp and Belichick rewarded them with contracts. Jones was the sixth player to ink a deal. Four others have yet to ink their paper. Cole Strange was brilliant in camp, but he hasn’t signed his deal with the Patriots.
