Could Julian Edelman Soon Unretire, Rejoin Pats?

The New England Patriots may soon add a familiar name to their roster. Is there any chance for him to unretired? The 2018 Super Bowl MVP called it career after sustaining serious injuries. He had to make this decision.

Edelman added fuel to the fire with the comments he made earlier this week. The wideout may be retired right now, but he can change this overnight. The Patriots could definitely benefit from his performance. Edelman has excellent experience and he could make a good impact on the game.

NFL fans would definitely love to see Edelman back. They started asking questions about his return.

“What would have to happen with cap space/cuts if Edelman said he wants to come back (and makes the roster). Would he have an impact?” @skimaine wrote.

Edelman is responsible for this. He made people talk. New England has a good roster at the moment, but Edelman’s arrival will be a game-changer for the team. Will he even consider this?

Belichick will honor Julian Edelman if he decides to unretire

The former wideout said he’d retire once his wheels come off. His knee injury was just too much. Edelman is one of the best wideouts in the league, but he wasn’t playing at a high level in his final year with the team.

“I don’t want to have that,” he said in a 2021 “Pardon My Take” interview. “I don’t want to look like that. Yes, I respect the game too much; it’s been too good to me. So it’s one of those things where if I can’t go out there and be the player that I know I am in this league and that I’ve been for a consistent period of time, you know, I have no problem walking away because I enjoyed the time that I did have in this league.”

Bill Belichick has Nelson Agholor, Kendrick Bourne, and a few other strong options on the roster. The Patriots head coach will definitely give Edelman a good spot on the roster. Of course, Edelman has to make a decision first.
