Heartbreaking 911 Call Released After Ohio Teen Died Outside LeBron James’ I Promise School

LeBron James founded the I Promise School in Ohio with one goal. He didn’t have the happiest childhood and just wanted to help the less fortunate. The four-time NBA champion wanted to give kids a reason to smile. A lot of kids go to bed hungry. A growling stomach never makes you happy, right? LeBron knows it best. He had to live with his coach for a year.

I Promise School created the perfect opportunity for these kids. At-risk youth had a chance to get proper education. LeBron took care of the health of those kids and made sure they all have something to eat over the weekend. Don’t have a roof over your head? LeBron will take care of it!

Kids at I Promise School showed great improvement in their first year. They showed great results at the testing and LeBron couldn’t hide his excitement. Unfortunately, a disaster shocked the entire nation.

Ethan Liming, 17, died outside the I Promise School after getting into an altercation with Deshawn Stafford, 20, Tyler Stafford, 19, and Donovan Jones, 21. The 911 call will break your heart.

“We’re at the I Promise school in Akron, Ohio,” one of Liming’s friends told the dispatcher after the fight. “Our friend just got knocked out. We don’t know what to do.”

The dispatcher asked questions to get better insight into the situation. Liming’s friend said that the fight had ended and told the dispatcher that he was still breathing.

“Yeah, he’s breathing,” Liming’s friend said. “He’s breathing.”

The police had a press conference, confirming Liming’s death.

According to several sources, Liming’s attitude triggered the fight. He fired a water gun at a group of people on the basketball court at the school.

LeBron James issued statement after the tragedy at I Promise School

Liming’s father has more details. His kid couldn’t defend himself. He tried, but they knocked him down.

“He was fighting back for his life,” Bill said. “A third individual came up behind him and overwhelmed him. And they knocked him out on the ground. His friends tried to help him.”

Bill also mentioned racism and racial animosity. He believes that racism killed his son.

“My son Ethan Liming was murdered by three African American males and a female who stood by and did nothing,” he said.

“We live in a sick world. People look at each other based on the color of skin or the fact somebody disagrees with somebody else. And because you disagree with me you must be evil. And we have so dehumanized each other in our society, that’s why my son was murdered. Some people looked at him as somebody whose life didn’t matter. And it just breaks our hearts. And we don’t want this to happen to anybody else’s child.”

Liming’s mother, Jennifer, stated the following:

“I just hope when people are feeling angry at somebody for something they did to them, they just take a breath and think for a second. Think about my son.”

The police denies these allegations. According to the chief of the police, Liming’s death has nothing to do with racism.

“There were assumptions made that this was a race-related incident,” the police chief said. “There is nothing that we have in our possession right now, any information at all, indicating that race played a role in this homicide.

“If we do receive information that race played a role in this, as in any homicide, we will consult with our prosecuting attorneys and add additional charges.”

The LeBron James Foundation issued a statement, assuring everyone that the school is safe.
