Mac Jones Follows In Tom Brady’s Footsteps With Great Offseason Workout

The New England Patriots have definitely found their quarterback of the future. Mac Jones is turning heads this offseason and his workout program is crazy. Head coach Bill Belichick had a few good reasons to select Jones and the Alabama prospect seems to be the right person to lead the team.

Tom Brady may be out of New England, but he is definitely a role model for many young quarterbacks. Jones seems to have embraced his approach. Is he the new Tom Brady? Yes, doubters joked about this, but to be honest, Jones has the potential to replace the GOAT. Brady is the best quarterback to ever play to game, but Jones looks really good right now.

According to Zack Cox from NESN, the Patriots quarterback traveled to California for a scheduled workout with some of his teammates. He enjoys putting in the extra work and this workout is a clear reflection of his talent.

Patriots receiver Nelson Agholor took to his Instagram stories to share bits of their workout. As you can see from this video, Jones was throwing passes to Tre Nixon.

Mac Jones is serious about his workout

Nixon was one of the brightest stars on the practice field this offseason. He showed great performance and Jones is definitely using his time off to bond with his teammates. Nixon’s performance may secure his spot at the top of the receiving unit. Many believe that he may push Agholor out of the team. However, seeing Agholor in this video made us as questions.

Agholor did a good job in minicamp. He is coming off of a bad season and he has to try really hard to secure his spot in New England. His position may be in danger. Belichick traded for DeVante Parker and selected Tyquan Thornton in the 2022 NFL Draft. Let’s see what happens in training camp. Fans will have to wait until the end of July to get an update. One thing stands for sure. Jones is ready for another monster season. The 2022 NFL season is important for him and other Patriots players.
