Rob Gronkowski Agent Flashes Mixed Signals After Retirement News

Rob Gronkowski made two retirement announcements in three years and we are not really convinced that he will stay out of the football field for a long time. Neither is his agent.

In his convo with Adam Schefter from ESPN, Drew Rosenhaus said that his client may return to the field. Again. We are sort of confused because Gronk seems to be pretty positive about this decision.

“It would not surprise me if Tom Brady calls him during the season to come back and Rob answers the call,” Gronk’s agent said. “This is just my opinion but I wouldn’t be surprised if Rob comes back during the season or next season.”

Rob Gronkowski says final goodbye in his retirement statement?

Gronkowski retired after 11 seasons in the NFL. He finished his great career with 621 receptions for 9.286 yards and 92 touchdowns. Gronk was lethal in the red zone, but became a shelf of himself. He called it career and spent an entire year partying around the country. The former Patriots tight end put a stop on his break and joined Brady in Tampa Bay.

Interestingly, Gronk didn’t even mention the Patriots in his goodbye message.

“For that assignment though, we had to pick the location. So I wrote that I wanted to play in Tampa for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, for many reasons, the sunny weather being #1. I completely forgot about writing this report until 2 years ago when I had the opportunity to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And let me tell ya, the journey in Tampa over the last 2 years has blown away what I originally wrote about in college, big time.”

“Buccaneers ?‍☠️ fans, the Krewe, without you guys, none of this is possible, all of ya brought it every game, thank you for all you do.”

Gronk was a fan favorite and some of his Boston fans will definitely have a strong reaction to this. They may be disappointed or confused. Well, Gronk made his decision. Let’s see if he changes his mind again. We’ve seen it happen before. It’s Gronk after all.
