Russell Westbrook Sends Salty Warning to Analyst Over “Westbrick” Comment

Russell Westbrook got nothing but a new nickname in his first season with the Los Angeles Lakers and let’s just say he doesn’t like when people call him Westbrick.

Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka traded three players to get Westbrook. It was a good plan, but it didn’t work. Westbrook failed to meet expectations despite his great experience.  Lakers fans waited for him to make an impact, but Russ became a big disappointment. His poor shooting made fans angry. LeBron James’ facial expression said it all. Russ is an All-Star, but his bad game affected the Lakers last season.

Add Skip Bayless. The man knows how to add fuel to the fire. The Fox Sports Analyst criticized the Lakers and discussed their struggles. Well, he didn’t miss the chance to mention “Westbrick”.

Westbrook heard the comments and had a big warning for Bayless. NBA players don’t really criticize talking heads, but Westbrook hates this attitude. He doesn’t like when people call him names in front of his family. The 2021-22 NBA season was a disaster and Westbrook knows it well.

Russell Westbrook opens the Westbrick topic AGAIN

Bayless is the worst critic Westbrook will ever get. Even Russ’ wife had something to say. Nina didn’t like the fact that Bayless criticizes her husband all the time.

Westbrook was really disappointed and couldn’t even hide his feelings. He is a California native and his own people hate him. Yes, it was that bad.

Pelinka thought of trading Westbrook, but NBA teams want a first-round pick. Most NBA teams don’t like Westbrook. Kyrie Irving may be a good option for the Lakers, but the Brooklyn Nets don’t like Russ. It’s really complicated.

“It affects them even going to games,” Westbrook said of his wife and children attending Lakers games during the season. “… And it’s gotten so bad where my family don’t even want to go to home games, to any game … and it’s just super unfortunate, man. It’s super upsetting to me. I’m at a point where I’m going to continue to address it. It’s just unfortunate.”
