LeBron James ‘Lobbying’ Lakers on Mind-Blowing Lakers Trade

The Los Angeles Lakers have to “fix” their roster. General Manager Rob Pelinka has a few big moves to make. The front office is expected to trade for a big name this offseason. Kyrie Irving is commonly mentioned as a trade target for team. As you may be guessing, LeBron James seems to be supporting his Lakers team when it comes to pulling a trade for his former teammate.

LeBron and Irving spent a lot of time together. They won a championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016. Well, Irving wanted to have a key role on his team and requested a trade to the Boston Celtics. Now he is playing with the Brooklyn Nets. Brooklyn didn’t get a chance to win a championship this season. The franchise is expected to make some changes and many believe that the front office will trade KD or Irving. Yes, both scenarios seem to be really awkward.

LeBron James wants the Lakers to trade for his former teammate

Marc Stein was among the first to report that LeBron wants Irving to get on his team.

“I know Irving has been in Los Angeles this week, but that’s not the source of my confidence. It stems from repeated rumbles in circulation that LeBron James is rooting hard for Irving’s addition to the roster. James, I’m told, wants to see Irving in Lakerland more than anyone. What other team, furthermore, has a LeBron-sized personality with the experience to cope with all the chaos that comes with adding Kyrie? James, remember, has often thrived in chaos.”

Irving will be free agent in 2023. He can join whichever team fits his criteria. Is he going to LA?

“Every team is a little scared to trade for him,” one general manager told Heavy.com, “except the Lakers. Because if he is going to pull any stunts like he has over the last few years, they know LeBron is not going to stand for it. LeBron knows Kyrie won’t even try any nonsense if he is on the team with him.”

It’s a bold claim and the only thing we can do is make another prediction.
