Lonnie Walker IV Makes Big Admission on Joining LeBron James, Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers have to make some changes this summer otherwise they will go through the same disaster once again. The team is coming off of a terrible season. Russell Westbrook joined the team, hoping to make an impact, but this experiment didn’t work. Westbrook’s addition turned out to be a major disappointment. Rob Pelinka has a few big options on the table. Trading Russ? Signing Kyrie Irving? The list doesn’t end here. Lonnie Walker IV is the most recent player to join LeBron James and other Lakers players. His arrival may be a game-changer for the team and Walker is definitely excited about the opportunity.

Walker’s situation with the San Antonio Spurs didn’t go well. He decided to accept Pelinka’s offer and signed a one-year deal with the team. This deal will give him $6.5 million. Pelinka had a few reasons to add Walker and head coach Darvin Ham had a few good reasons to sign the young player. Add fresh power to the 2022-23 roster? LA already has a new head coach and Walker’s addition makes sense in so many ways.

Lonnie Walker IV to give his best in the game with LeBron James

LeBron joined the Lakers to win a title, but his team wasn’t really winning in the last couple of years. The Lakers plan to change their approach and Walker really promised to do his best. His scoring game looks better now. The Spurs didn’t view him as a good option for the new roster and Walker had to take his talent somewhere else.

“I kind of first started out when I was out here working out just trying to figure out what’s next and what to do,” Walker said of his Spurs exit. “Have seen that Dejounte [Murray] was about to leave to the Hawks. I know that they [Spurs] are in the process of rebuilding and doing things of that nature.”

Walker won’t be the only player to join the Lakers. Pelinka will have to make some more moves in the next few weeks. He still has to add a star player.
