Mac Jones Has Made ‘Dramatic Improvement,’ Per Bill Belichick

The New England Patriots will trust their young quarterback once again. Mac Jones is expected to make a huge impact once again and head coach Bill Belichick is really confident about his skill set. Jones got the keys to the offense last offseason and yes, he is entering a really challenging season. Jones has to prove doubters wrong.

Belichick received a lot of questions about his young quarterback and used the opportunity to praise his improvement.

“In all areas, I think there’s a dramatic improvement,” Belichick said. “Everyone recognizes how well he prepares and how much further along he (is) than a year ago… He’s starting from a much, much higher point this year.”

Mac Jones got full support from Bill Belichick and Patriots teammates

Belichick is not the only member of the Patriots family to praise Jones. Veteran center Andrew Davis mentioned Jones’ dominance and had great words for his leadership. Jones is a hard-working fella and he will be leading the team to another great season. He may be young, but his work-ethic is impressive. The Patriots will have a strong quarterback again and Jones will get the best of his season. It’s an important season for the Patriots and Jones

“The kid’s a hard worker,” Andrews said to 98.5 The Sports Hub. “He works his butt off, day in and day out. Sometimes I try to get him to take a deep breath, but that’s what you want out of your quarterback. He works really hard. He’s a tough kid. It’s been fun, for the past year, for me to get to know him and got a lot of respect for how he does things and how he carries himself.”

Josh McDaniels’ departure made things even harder for Jones. The former Patriots OC helped Jones unleash his full potential. The Alabama quarterback will have to work with another coach now. Well, the Patriots won’t really have an offensive coordinator. Joe Judge and Matt Patricia will do the job in 2022.
