N’Keal Harry Breaks Silence After Trade to the Chicago Bears

N’Keal Harry is entering a new chapter with the Chicago Bears as the New England Patriots traded him for a 2024 seventh-round pick. Trading a first-rounder for a seventh-rounder? Well, this makes sense for the Patriots. Harry had too many struggles on the football field and head coach Bill Belichick had to find a solution. It’s not like Harry didn’t want a second chance. He requested a trade last summer, remember? Things went well in training camp and Harry stayed with the Patriots for another season. He is now longer a Patriot though.

New England confirmed the trade and it’s finally official.

N’Keal Harry is happy with the trade

Harry took to his Twitter account to hype Bears fans. It seems like he waiting for this opportunity for a really long time.

Chicago needs all the help it can get from Harry. He is a former first-round pick and yes, he may be a better fit for the Bears. The team needs a wide receiver and Harry is entering his fourth year in the NFL. Maybe he will do better as a Bears wideout. Harry won’t step in as the No.1 receiver for the Bears. Darnell Mooney will lead the team. He may have eclipsed his 1,000 mark in 2021, but the Bears could use a bigger wideout like Harry. Let’s see if his skills work better for the Bears gameplan.

The Bears have Byron Pringle and Equaniemous St. Brown on the roster. In other words, they don’t have much choice at wideout. Harry may easily get a spot on their 53-man roster and the Bears may consider giving him a starting role.

Harry saw action in 33 regular-season games for the Patriots. He had 18 starts and 57 receptions for 598 yards and four scores. Belichick needs more than that. Harry’s departure won’t hurt the Patriots. In fact, they have just saved $1 million in cap space. This deal works for both the Bears and New England.

The Patriots have enough wideout options right now and Belichick seems to be happy with his current roster.
