N’Keal Harry Discusses Response to Being Traded By Patriots

The New England Patriots had to do something about their struggling players. The team had a seven-game winning streak last season, but some players didn’t really do their job. N’Keal Harry was one of them and he was traded by the Patriots.

This trade wasn’t really a surprise. Harry had requested a trade through his agent a year ago. He wanted out. He wanted to have a fresh start with another team. Things changed in training camp and the wide receiver joined the Patriots for another season. It was another disappointing season for the wide receiver. Harry didn’t do much in his three seasons with the Patriots and he had to go.

Belichick sent Harry flying for a 2024 seventh rounder. The Patriots weren’t looking for a big return. They just found a good trade partner and got rid of the struggling player. Why would they keep someone who had 12 receptions for 184 yards in an entire year? In his three seasons with the Patriots, Harry had 57 receptions for 598 yards and four touchdowns.

N’Keal Harry was traded by the Patriots for a reason

This trade was like a blessing for Harry. He seems to be really happy with his new team. The veteran had his first meeting with the media. Everyone was really interested in his first impressions.

“I was actually asleep and my manager was at my house and he came downstairs,” Harry said of the moment he first found out. “(He) told me I just got traded. When he told me I got traded to the Bears, I was excited. I jumped out of bed. I was just excited, man.”

One thing stands for sure. Harry won’t be missed. Belichick has a nice receiving unit. He has DeVante Parker leading the group. Jakobi Meyers and Kendrick Bourne are also here. These guys will have strong season and nothing will ever change that. Of course, an injury could affect the gameplan, but we wouldn’t go that far.

Belichick likes how things look so far. His team will go through a big challenge in training camp.
