Patriots’ David Andrews Offers Praise Toward ‘Hard Worker’ Mac Jones

The New England Patriots packed their roster with great players. They are expected to have a better record than last year. Mac Jones and his teammates led the Patriots to a 10-7 record. Will they win more games in 2022? David Andrews and Mac Jones sure expect a better outcome.

Andrews is one of the key players on the Patriots roster. He really likes Jones and everything he brings to the field. The young quarterback turned out to be an excellent leader. He tried hard to establish strong connections with his teammates. Did it work? Absolutely.

David Andrews supports Mac Jones

The veteran center talked about this during his appearance on 98.5 The Sports Hub on Friday.

“The kid’s a hard worker,” Andrews told Scott Zolak. “He works his butt off, day in and day out. Sometimes I try to get him to take a deep breath, but that’s what you want out of your quarterback. He works really hard. He’s a tough kid. It’s been fun, for the past year, for me to get to know him and got a lot of respect for how he does things and how he carries himself.”

Andrews missed an entire season due to his health issues. He is back now and yes, he has high expectations from his team. Everyone is trying to do their best and Andrews will definitely give his excellent performance.

“We’re all working to be the best we can be,” Andrew said. “Whether that’s Mac, me, we’re all professional athletes. Whoever it is on the football team, we know we have a job to do, and we’re going to do that to the best of our abilities to be the best we can be. We’re all here for the same common goal. It’ll all start whenever we report. That’ll be day one. We’ll keep working on it, keep improving it, try to keep getting better throughout season and not have that kind of lull like we did last season.”

The 2022 NFL season will be really important for the Patriots. Jones have to convince doubters that he is the right player to take the starting quarterback position. Andrews will give him a hand in this one.
