Patriots DB Works Out Alongside Rookie of the Year and Free-Agent Target

The New England Patriots signed and lost a few big names this offseason. Head coach Bill Belichick made some necessary changes and it seems like there’s more to come. The NFL world follows every move Patriots players make and one DB was spotted working out with reigning Rookie of the Year Ja’Marr Chase.

That’s not all. B/R Gridiron shared a video of the workout. Mills and Chase worked out with Detroit Lions running back DeAndre Swift and Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette. Let’s not forget that Fournette attracted Belichick’s attention not so long ago.

Patriots DB may lure the talented rookie in New England

New England got some nice moves from Mills last season. Many would agree that the Patriots need extra depth at cornerback. There’s one catch though. Malcolm Butler has a deal with the Patriots. There’s not much room for Mills. Belichick will give Jack Jones a chance to show his performance in training camp. The rookie will get his first chance in the preseason. Patriots fans appreciate Jones’ talent and Belichick had a few good reasons to select him in the fourth round of the NFL Draft.

Jones showed great performance in voluntary activities this spring. He may become a star cornerback sooner than expected. Mills is the favorite to start games in 2022. However, Jones will push his playing time and yes, he has a chance to get more minutes on the football field.

Patriots safeties are expected to do great things in the upcoming season. Veteran safety Devin McCourty is leading the group and he will get plenty of help from Kyle Dugger. Belichick has no concerns about this particular group.

NFL analysts thought that McCourty will call it career. However, the Patriots veteran decided to spend another season on the Patriots’ roster. His elite performance will lead the Patriots to another great season. Let’s see if McCourty, Jones, and the rest of the guys get another ring in the 2022 NFL season. Who will steal the show this time? We have a few suggestions.
