3-Time All-Star Went Off About What Lakers’ LeBron James Doesn’t Do

All-Star Gilbert Arenas is one of the many NBA stars to make big claims about Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James. Most people usually compare the four-time NBA champion to Michael Jordan, but Arenas shared a different approach. He and Lakers assistant coach Phil Handy talked about LeBron’s stats and the fact that the king of basketball has never had a year in which he is chasing stats.

“LeBron is probably the only player, the only superstar, that never had that year,” Arenas said on No Chill with Gilbert Arenas. “He never had that year where he says, ‘Eh, forget everybody, I’m trying to get my stats.’ Cuz I said if he ever did that, who’s stoppin’ him?’ That man would average 40 somethin’.”

LeBron has accomplished a lot in his professional career, all while averaging 27.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 7.4 assists. His stats were insane in the last couple of seasons, but the Lakers were far from winning a title. It wasn’t his fault though. Lakers veterans struggled to make an impact. They all came to LA to win a ring, but it didn’t happen.

The All-Star makes another bold claim about LeBron James

Jeanie Buss and Magic Johnson got LeBron for a reason. He is a winner. He is the ultimate leader. LeBron is all-in when it comes to winning games. He has four rings on his hands and four Finals MVP awards.

“When LeBron stepped in, it was all about trying to win a championship,” Arenas said. “Every year, trying to win a championship. So he’s been building the teams to try to win championships. So he’s never actually had a selfish year where he says, ‘I don’t need anybody. I want to show the world what I can do.’ That is insane to me.”

LeBron is entering another important season. He hits a milestone every time his teams make the court. We have a feeling that LeBron will continue the tradition in the upcoming season. Snatching another MPV award is part of the plan, too. Let’s see if he gets a ring in the 2022-23 season.
