Fans Want Lakers to Sign Free Agent Sharpshooter

The Los Angeles Lakers have been linked with so many players and now fans want them to sign another free agent. There has been much chatter about Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and a bunch of other players. NBA analysts made so many predictions about Rob Pelinka’s next move. The Lakers had a bad season and they have to repair the damage. Jeanie Buss needs a stronger roster. Pelinka brought a few veterans last offseason and it seems like the franchise will take a different direction this time.

Pelinka may not give up on all veterans though. Lakers Reddit suggests that fans want sharpshooter Rodney Hood on the Lakers roster in 2022-23. The veteran wing makes perfect sense in so many ways and fans mention his great size and perimeter scoring. Hood measures at 6’8’’ and yes, Pelinka needs big men.

Lakers to sign free agent for solid perimeter shooting

What makes Hood an ideal solution for the Lakers? He has played 448 regular-season games with 253 starts. His teams made the postseason on multiple occasions and Hood played 44 post-season games. He is averaging 10.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game while going 42% from the field and 36.6% from deep.

If Hood attracts Pelinka’s attention, he will be just another veteran to sign a veteran minimum. Darvin Ham will get solid perimeter shooting off his bench player for little money. Signing Hood would be a big move for the Lakers and Ham could really use more threes.

Who will be the next person to join the Lakers? They have to find a solution to Russell Westbrook. LeBron will probably continue his tenure with the Lakers. Who will join him on the floor? It’s a long offseason and the only thing we can do right now is make predictions.

Lakers players will enter an important offseason. Snatching a ring is a priority for LeBron and he will need solid teammates to lead the Lakers to a championship. Westbrook may not be part of the team in the upcoming season and this won’t be such a big deal for the franchise.
