Rob Gronkowski Responds To Julian Edelman Speculation

Rob Gronkowski brings the hottest topics to the table and this time he mentioned Julian Edelman. There are so many stories about Edelman’s potential return to the NFL. The former New England Patriots wideout likes to spice things up and Gronk played his role.

Head coach Bill Belichick and his players were getting ready for their joint practice with the Las Vegas Raiders and Edelman decided to visit. He is no longer part of the team, but hey, it was more than enough for fans to start talking.

“Brought my cleats to the desert just in case…” Edelman posted on Twitter.

Oh, he shouldn’t have done this. Gronk spotted the tweet and here’s his response:

“Do it Jules!! Make a comeback!!”

Edelman called it career not so long ago. His health condition forced his way out of the NFL and Edelman took his time to rest and recover. Now we have people talking about his return. Is that even possible? Gronk was retired for a year and then came back for another deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Maybe Edelman will do the same.

Rob Gronkowski may motivate Julian Edelman to return to the field

The former Patriots wideout left the door open for a return. In his interview with Rich Eisen, Edelman said he’d need a few weeks to get ready.

“I’ll tell you right now, if I had three weeks, three maybe four weeks — beginning of the season, absolutely not,” Edelman said. “But if there’s a team vying for a playoff run, guy goes down. Could I get ready? I probably could. … You can never say never.”

Fun fact? He and Belichick still talk on the phone. Belichick likes the wideout and even claims that he is the most hard-working player in New England. Edelman’s return could be a big deal for the Patriots despite the fact that they have a nice depth at wideout. Edelman brings the right experience and skills to the field. What else could you ask for? This scenario makes perfect sense for everyone, including Belichick and his assistants.
