Lakers’ Star Anthony Davis Shares Eye-Opening News: ‘A Lot of People Don’t Know This’

The Los Angeles Lakers are getting ready for the new season and players shared big details to the media. Anthony Davis and his teammates had news for reporters and yes, some of the information really shocked fans.

In his session with the media, AD said he was treating an undisclosed wrist injury last season. I guess no one knew about this. According to Davis, this injury affected his jump shots.

“A lot of people don’t know this, but since January, I was battling a wrist injury the whole year,” Davis said. “So it was affecting my shot and everything. That’s not an excuse, but it was tough for me to shoot how I wanted to shoot. I couldn’t really follow through.”

His jumper was a big issue last season. Davis did 34.8% on jump shots, 31.7% on shots from 10-to-15 feet, and 18.6% from beyond the arc.

“I couldn’t follow through,” Davis said. “Anytime I followed through, it was very painful and I had to try to do that over and over.”

Anthony Davis to make big news next season

Davis used the offseason to rest and get ready for the new season. He used his time off to recover and work on his shot. “Lethal Shooter” joined the Lakers superstar for strong workouts this summer. Davis used the opportunity to sharpen his shot and there’s a huge improvement.

AD missed significant time due to injuries in the last two seasons. He looks great right now and fans have high expectations from him. Head coach Darvin Ham will get to work with a really great group of players. Keeping everyone healthy and safe is of great importance for the franchise. Frank Vogel couldn’t put together great lineups last season, because players struggled to stay healthy. Let’s see what happens this season.

“I’m 100% healthy,” Davis said. “I feel great. You can ask guys around here. I’m really shooting the ball. So, I’ll be ready. Wherever coach puts me on the floor, mid-range, post, perimeter, if I’ve got a shot, I’m going to shoot it.”
