Patriots Share Decision on Key Replacement for Injured Offensive Weapon

The New England Patriots lost players to injuries and Mac Jones is not one of them. The signal-caller will join his teammates in the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, the Patriots really had to find a replacement for one injured offensive weapon. It was an expected move for the team. Will he contribute to the game?

James White had a key role with the Patriots and now they have to find a replacement for him. Head coach Bill Belichick relied on Ty Montgomery for this role, but the talented player ended on injured reserve. Montgomery will miss at least four games of the regular season.

Patriots have decent replacement for the injured offensive weapon

So, Montgomery is now out and the Patriots will have to use another player. Hopefully, Rhamondre Stevenson will able to fill this position and give the Patriots a good performance. He is expected to make plays as a receiver on third downs and other passing parts of the game. NFL analysts expect Stevenson to see action at this position later in the regular season. Well, things took a different turn now and Stevenson will have to accept great responsibility.

White’s hip injury forced the Patriots to get Montgomery. He delivered great performance in training camp and Belichick wanted to see more from him. Montgomery is out and Stevenson has to use this opportunity to show off. A great performance can help him see more action than Damien Harris.

Stevenson didn’t have the best performance in the game against the Miami Dolphins. He was able to carry the ball eight times for 25 yards and fans still talk about his 12-yard run. His passing game wasn’t that bright either. Stevenson was targeted twice and it wasn’t really impressing. Stevenson is just a second option for the Patriots and he has to go out of his way to make the best of these opportunities. He is bigger than Montgomery and things look a little better for him.

Let’s see how players act in the upcoming game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. It’s another important game for the Patriots.
