Proposed Blockbuster Trade Gives Lakers All-Star PG & 6th Man Of The Year

NBA experts have come up with a blockbuster trade for each of the players on the current Los Angeles Lakers roster. The franchise has been linked to several players in the last couple of months and Kyrie Irving was the biggest target. It didn’t happen and the Lakers are trying their chances with other players. One particular blockbuster trade gives the Lakers a chance to snatch an All-Star and a Sixth Man of The Year.

Truth is, Rob Pelinka really has to find ways to make things work. The Lakers didn’t make the playoffs last season. It was a frustrating season for Lakers players. Some of them were a bad fit for the team and Pelinka has to find the pieces that actually work for the franchise.

Blockbuster trade helps Lakers GM get an All-Star and fill a hole on LA roster

The Utah Jazz are rebuilding their team, too. The Lakers traded for Patrick Beverley not so long ago. Who will be the next Jazz player to join the purple and gold? Forward Bojan Bogdanovic is still available and the same goes to veteran point guard Mike Conley. Guards Malik Beasley and Jordan Clarkson may be on their way out, too. Rudy Gay and Jarred Vanderbilt could be used as tradeable assets.

The Lakers got Beverley, but they need more new players. Russell Westbrook was the biggest issue for the franchise in 2021-22. Pelinka is actively looking for trade partners. If Westbrook stays on the team, Darvin Ham will have to find the best winning formula.

The Lakers should send Russ and a 2027 first-rounder to the Jazz and get Conley, Clarkson, and Vanderbilt to the trade partner. Does this trade make sense?

Conley makes perfect addition for the Lakers. He could fill a big hole on Ham’s roster, acting like starting point guard. In the 2021-22 NBA season, Conley saw action in 72 games, averaging 13.7 points and 5.3 assists.

Pelinka could go after Jordan Clarkson and sign him as the next bench scorer. He is a former Laker and also the Sixth Man of the Year in 2020-21. Clarkson averaged 16.0 points per game off the bench with the Jazz.
