Lakers Patrick Beverley Makes Bold Statement On Russell Westbrook

Patrick Beverley and Russell Westbrook may had beef over the years, but they are teammates now. The Los Angeles Lakers decided to trade for Pat Bev despite his thing with Westbrook. Head coach Darvin Ham says he knows how to use both players in his starting lineup. Need more? Beverley stood up for his teammate.

Westbrook is making the hottest headlines this offseason. A lot of people believe that GM Rob Pelinka is still looking for the best trade option for Russ. Skip Bayless is one of these guys. He tried to add fuel to the drama, but Beverley wasn’t having any of it.

Bayless took to Twitter to tell the NBA world that Westbrook wasn’t sitting with LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Beverley during a preseason game. He suggested that Westbrook is probably on his way out. Bayless is definitely wrong about this.

Beverley had an expected reaction and hopefully, Bayless will learn the message.

Unlike Beverley, Westbrook hasn’t really said much about his new teammate. Beverley doesn’t have any issues with Westbrook at the moment. These two can work together as suggested by Devean George.

“I mean, I think it can work…I’m just a fan of Russ, though. That’s why I think it could work,” George said. “Maybe I’m caught up in what he’s done in the past, but I’m just a fan. He needs to play differently, but I think he can make it work.”

Patrick Beverley and Russell Westbrook to win a lot of games together

NBA players seems to be fed up with the Westbrook drama. Draymond Green and many others believe that analysts should stop discussing Westbrook’s future with the Lakers. Brodie is a Laker now and that’s the only thing that matters.

“Stop all the Russell Westbrook talk. That man is a Laker. They trying to make it work, and it can work. When you are as great of players as those guys have, it can work, and then adding Patrick Beverley to the floor, you’re just going to win more games, that’s been proven,” Green said.
