Lakers Star Anthony Davis Sends Message on Latest Injury Issue

Anthony Davis got hurt again and he is dealing with another one injury issue. The Los Angeles Lakers big man missed a lot of time due to injuries in the last couple of seasons. He was 100% this summer, but fans are really worried about his current condition.

AD sustained his latest injury in the loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, but he is expected to suit up for the upcoming game. He stayed in the game after the tumble, but had to leave the game and head straight to the locker room. What happened on the court?

“I just didn’t want to sit down and let it stiffen up,” Davis said in the postgame press conference. “I just went in the tunnel, tried to stay loose until I got called to go back in the game.”

Anthony Davis isn’t too worried about his injury issue

This injury may affect his performance, but Davis isn’t too worried about his status.

“I’ll be alright,” Davis told the media. “We got two days between games, so whatever I gotta do to get it right for Sunday, it’s an early game too so we’ll see how it is, but pretty sure I’ll be alright.”

Lakers head coach Darvin Ham will be really careful with his superstar. However, AD plans to play in every game this season. His team needs him and the veteran wants to give his best and lead the team to a win.

“As much as I can, play all 82 [games], and then get back to the level of basketball that I know I’m capable of playing which is being elite and dominant,” Davis said told Spectrum Sports.

The Lakers had a few good reasons to sign Davis. They traded a few young players to get Davis and he helped them win a title in his first season with the franchise. Unfortunately, Davis’ health was a big issue and he missed a lot of games. Some even thought that Rob Pelinka will get rid of him this offseason. It didn’t happen.

“Last season, I had two injuries that you can’t really control. I mean, a guy fell into my knee, landed on the foot,” Davis said. “And the good thing for me is that the doctors after they looked at us, they could have been, like 10 times worse.”
