Patriots Receiving Trade Calls On Star Players From Their Roster

The New England Patriots have to make a decision by the trade deadline on November 1. Several players struggled early in the regular season and their future may be hanging in the air. Head coach Bill Belichick has been getting calls for some of his star players and the Patriots may trade these guys without a second thought. Belichick parted ways with great players in the past. Not everyone fits his criteria, remember?

So, the trade deadline is already here and Belichick has a few options on the table. Kendrick Bourne is coming off of a good season, but he struggled to make an impact in the new offensive system. Bourne couldn’t hide his concerns with the new offense and Matt Patricia has issues with him. The veteran was late for one of the meetings this summer and Patricia didn’t like it at all.

Patriots have a reason to trade these players

Nelson Agholor is another candidate on Belichick’s trade list. The Patriots offered him a two-year deal, but Agholor failed to meet expectations.

Bourne and Agholor join a group of other tradeable assets. Jabrill Peppers may be on his way out of New England. Damien Harris would be a surprising candidate, but yes, there are rumors about his potential trade. Add DeVante Parker and Jakobi Meyers to the list of options.

Harris is an excellent player, but Belichick found a true gem in Rhamondre Stevenson. The second-year running back is doing an exceptional job on the football field and the Patriots want to see more from him. Pierre Strong Jr. and Kevin Harris are part of the team and Ty Montgomery is still here. J.J. Taylor is another player on this list. In other words, Belichick won’t have trouble parting ways with Harris.

Belichick will make the right move for his team. He will trade players who can’t perform at a high level even if they have been Patriots for many years. Trading Bourne may not be a great idea because he is talented and doesn’t cost too much. Simple as that.
