Lakers Advised To Trade For $142 Million Forward & $89 Million Guard

The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Brooklyn Nets, but they have to make some changes and improve their roster. Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka was advised to make a trade move and get a forward and guard.

Kristopher Knox from Bleacher Report wrote that the Lakers have a chance to get Bojan Bogdanovic and Alec Burks from the Detroit Pistons. Getting these two makes sense and the Lakers have already shown interest in Bogdanovic, but the Utah Jazz sent him to Detroit.

“There are a couple of reasons why making a run at Bogdanovic would be logical for the Lakers,” Knox wrote. “The first is that the 33-year-old is flourishing as a shooter in Detroit. Bogdanović has made 43 percent of his shots from beyond the arc and a whopping 50.5 percent from the floor. That’s a level of shooting consistency that the Lakers lack. The second reason is that, as Fischer outlined on Friday, a trade package could theoretically include another player who has previously interested the Lakers, Alec Burks. (Nerlens) Noel would largely be a throw-in, but Burks could be an intriguing option. He’s working his way back from foot surgery and has only appeared in one game this season, but the 31-year-old topped 40 percent from three-point range in each of his last three seasons.”

Lakers will improve their shooting with the trade move, Darvin Ham to work with talented forward and guard

The Lakers don’t have much to offer. They can put Russell Westbrook on the trade block and get someone who can fit in the current roster. Bogdanovic will get $19.3 million this season and will earn $142 million after the 2024-25 NBA season. Burks will have earned $89 million after the 2023-24 NBA season.

The Lakers can get these two and fix their shooting issues. The team struggles to make an impact and NBA analysts criticized the team for the poor shooting. Burks and Bogdanovic can be of great help on the floor and they will definitely help LeBron James and Anthony Davis win more games in the regular season.
