Lakers Star LeBron James Sounds Off On Zion Williamson After Win In Overtime

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers beat Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans. The Lakers took the game in overtime and tried really hard to win.

King James talked about his opponent after the game and praised his efficacy on the court. Williamson finished the night with 27 points, seven assists, and five rebounds. That’s what first-round picks do, right?

“Something we’ve never seen, a talent of his size, his speed, his athleticism,” LeBron said. “Just like a Giannis. Just like a Barkley, or Shaq. Certain talents that come into our league that you’ve just never seen before.”

These comments will motivate Williamson to try even harder in the regular season. The GOAT praised him. What else could one ask for?

LeBron recognizes greatness and he sure made huge prediction about the young player. Williamson impressed him during the game. The Lakers superstar watched him throughout the seasons and yes, Williamson has a lot to offer.

“It’s so funny when you hear people say, ‘Stop him from going left.’ It’s the same thing I heard for so many years w/ [Manu] Ginobili, Lamar Odom,” James said. “When you’re great, it doesn’t matter what you do. They’re going to figure out a way.”

Greatness meets greatnes, remember? We will see more from these two in the future.

LeBron James praised Zion Williamson despite their potential rivalry

In 2020, LeBron shared some strong words with Williamson and critics shredded him for quite some time. According to him, he shouldn’t say anything like this to his “potential rival.”

“Anybody that says that, ‘LeBron, why would he do that while he’s playing? It’s a sign of weakness. … He’s buddy-buddy with the guys he’s going against.’ Tell them to kiss my ass,” LeBron said. “All right? With a smile, too. Appreciate it.”

LeBron entered an important season. His team has won just two games so far. The Lakers has some issues on the roster, but it seems like head coach Davin Ham has come up with an ideal gameplan. Will his scheme work later in the season? Let’s wait and find out.
