Lakers Head Coach Darvin Ham Reveals Change In Anthony Davis Mindset

Anthony Davis has the right mindset a player needs to win games and it shows. The Los Angeles Lakers regained their confidence and returned in their line. They are winning games and it seems like nothing can stop them.

Lakers players struggled early in the season and lost too many games. LeBron James missed time, Davis sustained injuries, and everything was out of sync. Well, not anymore!

Davis stole everyone’s attention in the last couple of weeks, playing like the superstar he is. According to experts, the big man could snatch the MVP award this season.

Anthony Davis has the right mindset to keep winning

Lakers head coach Darvin Ham talked about Davis’ potential and the mindset that led him to this point.

“I’ve been putting AD’s name on it, since day one. And it does help Bron, it allows him to be more efficient with his energy, more efficient with his workload,” Ham said following the win over the Washington Wizards. “There are times where again, we can go through AD and just feed AD, feed AD, feed AD, and we’re not worried about LeBron having to be a world-beater or trying to make plays through three or four people. And Russ is in the same boat, allowing him to be able to play more freer.

“AD, he wants it. He wants to be that guy. He wants to be the guy for the team. And, I think it’s beautiful to watch because his teammates, they’re encouraging him, they’re trying to give him the ball.”

Davis looks great on the floor. In the 130-119 win over the Wizards, he delivered 55 points, 17 rebounds, three blocks, and an assist while going 73.3% from the field on 22-of-30 shooting. Yes, he damaged the Wizards!

LeBron James is fine with taking a role behind AD. Davis leads the team now and this may be the change everyone needed. Of course, LeBron continues to deliver his elite performance and help the team win.

Ham works with elite group of players this season and the outcome should surprise opponents!
