Rob Gronkowski Speaks Out About Depressing Patriots Culture

Former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski was the star of the show every time his team took the field, but he made shocking comments about the Patriots culture.

Gronk retired after winning a title with the Patriots. He returned to the field a year later and joined Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The big guy has had a lot of interviews lately, and yes, he shared some surprising details about the teams he played with.

Rob Gronkowski triggered fans with new comments on Patriots culture

In one of his most recent appearances on the “Up and Adams” podcast, Gronk said it was really hard to be a Patriots player.

“A regular season game with the Patriots actually, throughout my 20s, if we won a game, the next day it felt like we still lost a game,” Gronkowski said. “And if we lost a game, it felt like you were in super depression for like two days… or like for the whole week,” Gronkowski said. “So that’s what made you really want to win the games when you were with the Patriots: Because you didn’t want to ever feel that depression feeling for the two days after the game. You’re like, ‘We have to win the game. We have to win the game so we have a good week, so we feel good tomorrow.’”

Gronk won a lot of games with the Patriots, but retired as a Buccaneers tight end. Oh, yes, he is also a Buffalo Bills fan now. He returned to his old love again.

Gronkowski talks about Tom Brady again

The former Patriots tight end received a lot of questions about his former teams and some of them were strongly related to Tom Brady.

“I would 100% be surprised if he went back to New England, no doubt? It would be nuts, it would be a crazy story, but I just really don’t see that happening,” Gronkowski said on the Travis and Jason Kelce “New Heights” podcast. “I’m not Tom, I’m just putting my analyzing skills out there, and I think that would be a tough shot for him, but it’s open.”

In another interview on Fox News, Gronk said that the Patriots would be happy to have Brady back on their roster.

“I mean, if Tom really wanted to, I’m sure that it would be all open arms to go back to New England,” the retired tight end said. “I would just have to say all parties would need to want it.”
