Legendary Magic Johnson Puts Austin Reaves & D’Angelo Russell On High Alert For Underdog Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers earned a spot in the playoffs with their great performance despite all the criticism players received early in the regular season. Two players stood out and contributed to the game. LeBron James and Anthony Davis were great, but Austin Reaves and D’Angelo Russell stole the show for the underdog Lakers.

The Lakers beat the Minnesota Timberwolves and will play against the Memphis Grizzlies. Lakers legend Magic Johnson has a message for the team and it’s more like a warning for role players.

“If the @Lakers are going to beat the Memphis Grizzlier they have to control the pace and the role players like Reaves, Schröder, D Lo, Beasley, Hachimura, and Troy Brown Jr. have to play great to help AD and LeBron. I’d also like to see Lonnie Walker play in the Memphis series,” Johnson Tweeted.

Draymond Green supports Reaves, Russell, and underdog Lakers

Green believes that the Lakers have a real chance to beat their opponent and move on to the next round. They have LeBron and AD on the floor, and the rest of the guys are trying to give their best as well.

“I probably should be careful giving somebody some bulletin board material,” Green said” “I think the Lakers will take this series. I think it will be an upset.”

Green trusts the Lakers, Dillon Brooks wants to beat LeBron

Brooks is really confident about his team and he even plans to send LeBron home with a loss. He is a bully on the floor, but the Lakers have LeBron. NBA opponents should never count him off. We all hope that Russell will overcome his obstacles and play his best basketball in the series against the Grizzlies.

“I wouldn’t mind playing LeBron [James] in a 7-game series,” Brooks said. “The legacy is there. First time back in the playoffs; knock him out right away. It’ll test us good. They got good pieces, good players. That’ll be a good 1st-round matchup for us.”
