Lakers Superstar Anthony Davis Sounds Off After Eliminating Warriors

The Los Angeles Lakers got the best of the series against the Golden State Warriors. LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Austin Rivers, and the rest of the guys on Darvin Ham’s roster destroyed Steve Kerr’s squad and the crowd loved it. Davis had a key role in the series and reacted to eliminating the Warriors. Let’s just say the Lakers won’t stop here.

“We want to shock the world,” Davis said following the big Game 6 win.

Both LeBron and AD answered questions about the game and their future plans. ESPN even asked if they play with “house money.”

“We’re trying to win every hand,” LeBron said.

“That’s ya’ll expectation,” Davis added. “Our expectations inside (the team) are way higher than showing up to the Western Conference finals.”

Eliminating Warriors motivates Davis and his teammates

The Lakers had a slow start to the season. Things got better following the trade deadline and the Lakers had high expectations from their games. That’s exactly what happened. LeBron and Co. made the play-in tournament and beat the Minnesota Timberwolves. The rest is history. Playing against Curry and the Warriors wasn’t easy, but the Lakers won the series. Now they have to go against the Denver Nuggets.

“It’s going to be a great series. Two well-coached teams,” LeBron said. “They’ve been No. 1 in the West all year long. We give them a lot of respect. If we’re not locked in, they’ll put it to us. We’ll take a couple of days but will lock in on our assignments.”

The Nuggets are really strong right now. They have Nikola Jokic on the squad and the big man won’t give up without a good fight. It will be fun watching him go against LeBron and AD.

Ham is really proud of everything his team has accomplished. It was a “challenging year” for everyone, but the Lakers “kept powering through.” Players and coaches were positive all the time and managed to find a way to beat their tough opponents. Now they have to get ready for the monster in the Rocky Mountains.
