LeBron James Compares Himself To Steph Curry Ahead Of Playoff Round

LeBron James and Stephen Curry have been around since forever and yes, they will meet in another playoff round. The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Memphis Grizzlies in the first playoff round and secured their spot in the series against the Warriors.

LeBron has always wanted to play on Curry’s team, but it seems like he will always be on the opposing side.

The four-time NBA champion has nothing but words of praise for Curry. He appreciates his greatness and everything he has accomplished over the years. Curry is an exceptional player and LeBron will go against one of the better players in the NBA. Let’s not forget that the Warriors beat the Sacramento Kings in seven games and Curry delivered 50 points in Game 7 of the series.

“Two of the most competitive players that’s ever played this game, and we want to etch our names in the history books as much as we can by doing it our own way,” LeBron told the media on May 1, 2023. “Like I said, I got nothing but the greatest [admiration] and greatest respect for Steph.”

These two have a history together. They went against one another in so many occasions and this made their bond even stronger. LeBron respects great players and Curry got his attention many years ago. Some even said that LeBron tried to get Curry to sign with the Lakers in 2021. It didn’t happen and the NBA star inked his extension with the Golden State.

“He puts in the work,” LeBron said of Curry. “When you put in the work, nine times out of 10 you’re going to see the results, and he’s done that throughout his whole entire career. I got nothing but the utmost respect for Steph and everything he’s been able to accomplish.

“Not only on the floor but also off the floor, too. It’s great to have people like that in this league to set an example for the generation to come.”

NBA fans wouldn’t miss this round for anything in the world. LeBron goes against Curry once again and both veterans will sure deliver a real spectacle.
