Lakers Fans Are Not Pleased With One Potential Head Coach Option

The Los Angeles Lakers fired Darvin Ham after the loss to Denver. They have a head coach vacancy to deal with in the offseason and NBA analysts have a few suggestions. The Lakers have been linked with several head coach option, and of course, Tyronn Lue is one of them.

So is Jason Kidd.

Dave McMenamin from ESPN shared some coaches that may be candidates for the job, and yes, Kidd is also playing this game. McMenamin reported that the Lakers will probably go after an experienced coach. Three candidates may take part in the competition.

“The Lakers’ coaching pendulum has swung from a young guy in Luke Walton to an experienced candidate in Frank Vogel and then to a first-time head coach in Darvin Ham,” McMenamin said. “I expect the pendulum to swing back towards an experienced candidate this summer.

“Three of the names I’ve been told: Tyronn Lue of the Clippers, Jason Kidd of the Mavericks, and JJ Redick of ESPN.”

The Lakers could go for an experienced head coach fans like

LeBron James worked with Lue during his time with the Cleveland Cavaliers. They won a championship in 2016 and LeBron would definitely work with him again. Lue has strong connection with the four-time NBA champion and this could increase his chance to join the Lakers.

Redick has been mentioned as a potential head coach option lately. Some even believe that LeBron started off a podcast with him just to pave his way to the coaching position in LA.

Why is Kidd in the mix? Lakers fans are not too excited about him.

One fan reacted, “Jason Kidd dude.” Got the message. Another one added, “Jason Kidd? What?”

Lue may be a good candidate, but he may not leave his current team in the near future.

“Ty Lue basically just said he not going nowhere and Jason Kidd is one round away from conference finals,” a third fan added.

The Lakers may make some roster changes before they get a head coach. They should rush this one.
