Julian Edelman In Serious Trouble After NFL Denied His Appeal

Julian Edelman found himself in big trouble. His PED suspension appeal was denied, and it seems like his career will suffer this time. Edelman will miss the first part of the Patriots’ season, and he will be disqualified from receiving attainable hardware this year.

Ben Volin of The Boston Glone said that Julian Edelman won’t be eligible for individual awards. He won’t get the chance of becoming Pro Bowler or NFL MVP. The same applies to other similar awards.

“In addition to the suspension imposed on him, any Player suspended for a violation of the Policy will be ineligible for selection to the Pro Bowl, or to receive any other honors or awards from the League or Players Association, for the season in which the violation is upheld (i.e. following nay appeals) and in which the suspension is served,” Volin said.

Edelman didn’t have much luck in the preseason last year. He tore the ACL, and was sidelined for the entire campaign. If Edelman didn’t face the suspension, he would definitely be an award candidate. But, hey, bad things do happen.

Will Edelman be able to face the fact that he won’t get the chance to win an award? Well, he should better focus on getting the Patriots closer to another title.
