New LeBron James ‘Showtime’ Lakers Uniform Appears To Be Leaked

LeBron James left Cleveland in hopes of getting a better view of his future. Does this uniform fit in it?

Are there too many questions flooding your brain? What uniform? King James signed a four-year contract with the Lakers, and he will get $154 million. But, something else caught our attention. Fans are raging about the new uniform, and it seems like the Lakers are getting a brand new look.

It all started with this accidental tweet by Modell’s Sporting Goods. The tweet disappeared right after the rumors appeared. However, Bryan Kalbrosky of Hoops Hype gave us a closer look at the photo that was originally added in the tweet.

“Source: The NBA contacted the Modell’s at Times Square, asking them to remove these uniforms from the floor. But someone captured a photo, showing the Lakers will include drop shadow on their numbers for the first time since 1999,” he tweeted.

King James decided to switch teams, and it seems like the Lakers accepted the game of changes. They seem to be introducing a fresher look, and their uniforms look pretty cool. However, the team hasn’t made an official announcement or revelation. When will they brag about their new look?

But… everything points to the fact that the team is returning to the font and style from the “Showtime Lakers” of the 1980s.

ESPN’s Arash Markazi confirmed the difference in the jerseys.

Magic Johnson is the current leader of basketball operations, and we believe that this old style jerseys are probably his idea. That wouldn’t be a surprise at all.

So, the Lakers are excited about LeBron’s new contract, and they’re also wearing new jerseys. Am I right? If yes, other teams may take this as a challenge, and go back to basics as well. That would be a nice game.
