Rob Gronkowski Reveals His Own Treatment After Earning 2017 Incentive Payouts

Rob Gronkowski is one of the brightest stars in New England, and 2017 was his year. The tight end did a nice job with his teammates, and earned quite a lot.

The Pats tight end got $10.5 million last season thanks to the incentives in his reworked contract. But, hey, Rob Gronkowski earned every penny. There were 14 games, and Gronk hauled in 69 catches for 1,084 yards with eight touchdowns. He even got the first-team All-Pro honors in the season. Impressive, right?

This was enough for fans to freak out. In a positive way, of course. We all know that Gronk is a financially conscious guy, but he deserved to spoil himself a bit.

The tight end did a little spending in the offseason, and revealed more details during his interview with Maverick Carter on Uninterrupted’s “Kneading Dough.” Yes, Gronk spoke about the way he treated himself after the huge season.

“My friend had a chain, and I was like, ‘Dang, man, that’s a nice chain.’ I never had jewelry in my life. He let me wear it last year at a party. It made me feel good. So in the back of my head, I said, ‘If I hit all my incentives, if I do everything I need to do, get all my bonuses, put all the work in, I’ve got to finally treat myself,’” Gronk said.

This man deserved to treat himself in the best way possible. He gave his best last season, and he will give his best in the seasons that follow. Gronk brought the Pats game to a whole different level and he’s one of the strongest players in the team. The tight end was here for the team and it sure pays off to be such a good player. Keep up the good job, Gronk.
