Nike Reveals Official Release Date And More Details About the LeBron 16

Nike and LeBron James worked on his brand new signature show, and the king already gave us a peak into the new design. The LeBron 16 sneaker is the ultimate shoe on the market, and Nike officially revealed the release date, including more details about the show.

The LeBron 16 will be available on September 20, as confirmed by Nike’s official press release. The company wasn’t working on a total overhaul, and they just made some upgrades on the shoe. Yes, the new shoes are based on the design of the LeBron 15.

“The knit team at Nike are geniuses. I don’t use that term lightly. They are mathematical artists and have created a new knit for the 16 that is strong enough to contain LeBron and successfully reduces any layers in the overall build that could slow him down,” said Nike designer Jason Petrie.

James told Petrie to design a show with a lower collar in order to help athletes move freely. “The first thing we wanted to do was get a little lower in the cut of the shoe. I wanted to get a little faster, ride a little bit closer to the court and be a little bit more dynamic,” LeBron said of his new shoes.

The designers added a gusseted leather tongue, which allows for a seamless entry into the sneaker.

LeBron was thrilled by the cushioning last year, and the team focused on refining it. They removed the tendril that connects the forefoot to the under-toe bag, and included an outrigger ”to create some additional support to complement the lower height.”

LeBron must be happy with the new design. We can only imagine the look of his next shoes. These are definitely fire, and LeBron did an excellent job to add those changes. How much will these cost?
