Watch: LeBron James Stars In New Beats By Dr. Dre Ad
September 6, 2018
The NBA confirmed that they are entering a “comprehensive marketing and merchandising partnership” with Beats by Dr. Dre. The new partnership makes the headphone brand an “official headphone, wireless speaker and audio partner” of the NBA. The partnership also includes the WNBA, G League and USA Basketball. Guess who is starring in the new ad?
“Beats revolutionized the music industry and has become one of the most innovative and culturally-influential brands in the world. Through our partnership, we have an exciting opportunity to merge sports, pop culture and technology to deliver unparalleled experiences and premium products to our fans,” NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said of the partnership with Beats by Dr. Dre.
Beats also released a new commercial to announce the new partnership, and it stars LeBron James, James Harden and Draymond Green.
This partnership supports the fact that we’ll be seeing a lot of ads for the Beats’ headphones during matchups. We’ll see players wearing headphones while travelling or warming up. Well, it’s not like they haven’t been doing that.
“I always want to be the best and work with the best. That’s why I joined the Beats fam – they have the best headphones and they made them a style icon when no one else thought of electronics that way. Whether I’m traveling, working out or decompressing after a game, I can’t imagine listening to anything without them. Beats loves basketball and always works to tell the stories of their favorite players. I’m excited to see what they do with the NBA,” Harden said.
We bet players will be thrilled about the new partnership. I mean, we’ve been seeing these headphones everywhere. Everybody uses them, so why not seal the deal? Beats has done a good job with this one. High profits, right? Who will be the next star in Beats ad?
