Lakers Reveal Tyson Chandler’s Status For Game Vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

The Los Angeles Lakers are ready to try out their latest addition, and Tyson Chandler is fit for the upcoming challenge.

Chandler is expected to play against the Timberwolves.

The Lakers added a strong boost to their roster, and adding a veteran means that the team is ready to win. After the buyout, Chandler went straight to Los Angeles. He literally said ‘no’ to all the other teams who expressed their interest in him.

The Phoenix Suns did not need Chandler in their roster. They have Deandre Ayton in center, and that was enough for them to say “goodbye” to Chandler. Both parties decided to part ways, and the Lakers were more than happy to accept the veteran.

Chandler put the Lakers at the front of the line, and he was thrilled to “go back home.”

The team announced their decision that Chandler will play tonight against the Minnesota Timberwoles.

The Timberwolves are a tough bite to swallow. They have Taj Gibson and Karl-Anthony Towns. Gorgui Deing is off the bench, too.

In the latest game between the Lakers and Timberwolves, the latter pulled down 20 offensive rebounds. This is not the scenario Los Angeles hopes for now that Chandler arrived in town.

Well, Chandler may not be the same player he was when he won the Defensive Player of the Year award, but he sure is the upgrade the Lakers needed at this moment.

Luke Walton hesitated to give consistent minutes to Ivica Zubac, and used Kyle Kuzma and LeBron James as backup centers. This strategy did not provide great results, and hopefully, Chandler will give them what they need.

JaVale McGee is starter, and he had great game this season. Many would agree that he is one of the very few Lakers who provide a consistent contribution to the team.
