LeBron James Wants To Throw A Laker Star Into Trade Package

LeBron James was all about adding Anthony Davis to the Los Angeles Lakers, and a group of general managers did not really like his efforts. If you ask LeBron, he is already ready to add a Laker starter to the trade deal.

ESPN’s Brian Windhorst said that Lonzo Ball will probably be included in the trade deal, as he is the only young talent LeBron has an “affinity” towards.

The NBA trade deadline ends up on February 7, and it is more than obviously that the Lakers are trying to boost the roster. However, the Lakers will also try to go even bigger before the eventual deadline and try to acquire Davis.

The Boston Celtics will get a chance to trade for Davis next summer. Kyrie Irving is also  designated player, and the league’s rules say that teams cannot have two stars as provided by the “Rose Rule.”

This gives LeBron and the teammates a chance to seal the deal, but there is also a possibility that they wait until the summer.

The Pelicans are not ready to give up on Davis.

Brandon Ingram is one of the young players to be traded, and we cannot really say that about Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma.

LeBron believes that Ball has the highest value, and praised the player in several occasions.

Windhorst said that the Pelicans need a package that includes Lonzo, adding that LeBron will not think twice.

“There’s young guys who are either auditioning to play with LeBron long-term – do you fit with him,” Windhorst said.

“Right now Brandon Ingram does not. Or are you just being fattened up to be traded for a player like Anthony Davis. He’s talked about how good the chemistry but I don’t think he’s got a particular affinity to almost anyone on that roster. He knows they can all be sent out, expect maybe Lonzo Ball. He really seems connected wth Lonzo Ball. But if the Pelicans called and offered Anthony Davis and wanted Lonzo Ball, LeBron would say ‘have a nice career, we’ll see you twice a year’.”
