Lakers’ Darvin Ham Shares Take On ‘Insane Asylum Sources’ For Play-In Tank Suggestion

The Los Angeles Lakers celebrated a great win over the New Orleans Pelicans Tuesday. It was a magnificent 110-106 win for the team. This win went against all the speculation suggesting that the Lakers will lose the win so they can avoid the Denver Nuggets. They did lose the Western Conference Finals to the Nuggets last postseason, but players are definitely excited about the eventual rematch. Head coach Darvin Ham heard all the comments about the play-in game and fired back.

The Lakers showed impeccable performance against the Pelicans. Their performance was a warning for the rest of the NBA. It was the tip of the iceberg. LA can accomplish a lot and players would never lose a game on purpose.

Ham got really frustrated after hearing about the alleged “tanking.” It was never part of the game plan and Ham was loud and clear.

“There was a report of what? Insane asylum sources say. Nah. It was someone that just got out of the insane asylum,” Ham said in reference to all the rumors about the game against the Nuggets.

Losing the game to the Pelicans would put the Lakers in a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. It would have been an easier challenge for the purple and gold. The Lakers didn’t take this into consideration in the game against the Pelicans.

Lakers HC Ham got honest about the play-in game

Ham didn’t like the question he received after the brilliant win. The awkward situation confused him. Stephen A. Smith was also not a fan and condemned the question directed at Ham.

Lakers players tried really hard to win the game. They did blow up an 18-point lead, but managed to overcome all obstacles. Everything fell back in place in the final moments of the game.

The Lakers will be happy to challenge the Nuggets and win the rematch.
