LeBron James, Lakers Super Confident For Nuggets Rematch As playoffs ‘Sprint’ Begins

The Los Angeles Lakers lost the chance to win the Western Conference Finals last season. Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets were invincible in the series and went on to grab a title. The Lakers will go against the Nuggets again and it will be a crazy series for both teams.

LeBron James and the Lakers defeated the New Orleans Pelicans in Tuesday’s game, earning a chance to go against the Nuggets. The Lakers own the seventh seed in the West and have a 47-35 record at the moment.

The four-time NBA champion is really happy with the current game his team has. Every Lakers player contributes to the game and it shows.

“Tonight we showcased what we were able to do both offensively and defensively,” LeBron said following the win over New Orleans. “We’ve got a good group going right now, good rotation, good plan, and guys are coming in ready to go.”

Players may have made some mistakes early in the season, but their chemistry is strong. The team didn’t make any moves at the trade deadline because the roster didn’t even need any major improvement.

“Aint no more pace,” LeBron said about his team’s intensity. “Pace yourself for what? It’s a sprint, now. We already been through the main thing. I’ll do whatever it takes. All the percentages, and all that sh-t, it’s out the window. The season’s over with. It’s about just winning. Win the game.”

Head coach Darvin Ham is well aware of the potential his team has. Players showed great moves in the last few weeks, revealing just a tiny bit of their dominance.

LeBron and his teammates know they have accepted a great challenge. Playing against the Nuggets won’t be easy and it will be a rematch worth watching.

“They’ve been extremely dominant on their home floor over the last few years,” LeBron said of the Nuggets. “Got an MVP on their team. They got a closer on their team. Got high-level players, they got high IQ players. They got a hell of a coach.”

The Lakers have had issues going against the Nuggets. Denver keeps getting the best of the game they play against LA.

“We have to play mistake-free basketball, and make it tough on them,” LeBron said about the Nuggets. “If we can play the greatest game we can play, they’re gonna play the greatest game they play, it’s gonna come down to one or two possessions. We’ll see who executes then.”
