Skip Bayless Shares Optimistic Perspective On Lakers Game 5 Vs Nuggets

Skip Bayless is not a LeBron James fan, but he knows that he can help the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Denver Nuggets. Bayless did criticize LeBron for some of the “mistakes” he made in the first four games, but is well aware of the fact that the Lakers superstar can lead the team to a win in Game 5.

Lakers players celebrated a great win in Game 4. They showed consistent aggressiveness throughout the game and kept the Nuggets under control.

Going home with four consecutive losses wasn’t an option. Anthony Davis aggravated his wrist issue, but didn’t let it affect his performance. The best aspect of his performance was definitely the 23-rebound miracle he delivered in the game. The Lakers were outrebounded by Denver in Game 3 and Davis wasn’t going to let it happen again. LeBron was consistent as ever, scoring 30 points in the night. D’Angelo Russell scored 21 points after going scoreless in the previous game. In other words, the Lakers have everything they need to win this one.

Lakers can win Game 5, Bayless trusts LeBron

Bayless expected a different outcome in Games 1 and 3 in the series, but sure expressed his optimism for Monday’s game.

“Can the Lakers win Monday night in Denver? They could’ve won Game 1 in the 4th quarter … if LeBron hadn’t checked out … and they should’ve won Game 2 in the 4th … LeBron missed a wide-open unguarded 3 for the win,” wrote Bayless.

Bayless wants to see more from LeBron and hopefully, the king of basketball will play his best basketball on Monday. LeBron is the best player of all-time, but everyone needs to elevate their game to push the series to Game 6.

“When LeBron is in attack mode, not worrying about having to shoot free throws, NOBODY CAN KEEP HIM FROM THE RIM. Certainly no Nugget,” wrote Bayless.

Bayless hopes to see LA win, but Paul Pierce wants them to lose the game. LeBron’s former rival even said that the Lakers will have to fly to Denver to finish the series.
