Fans React After Insider Drops Lakers Opening Night Opponent

The Los Angeles Lakers lost the chance to make the NBA Finals last postseason and the Denver Nuggets got the best of the series. Well, guess what… The Nuggets are actually their opening night opponent and Lakers fans are super excited about the opportunity!

Shams Charania from The Athletic and Stadium reported that the Lakers will go against the Nuggets on October 24 and it’s a game fans will not miss for anything in the world. Here’s a fun fact… Nuggets players will also get their rings. A true celebration!

Fans got really excited about this whole idea. The internet was flooded with messages about the upcoming match! This will add fuel to the fire and Lakers players are definitely hyped to win.

The Nuggets defeated LA in six games. The Lakers would have had a better outcome, but both of their superstars struggled with injuries. LeBron was dealing with a foot injury and Davis had different ailments to take care of.

LeBron and Davis will get their revenge. Both players got good deals with the team and the latter inked the biggest contract extension in history.

Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic has nothing but words of praise for AD, calling him “the most-skilled guy”.

“He’s really…talented,” Jokic said about Davis following Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. “Probably the most-skilled guy when you think about the size, what he can do with the ball…Probably one of the most talented players in the league.”

Remember when Nikola Jokic put 34 points (12-17 shooting), 21 rebounds and 14 assists on Anthony Davis in Game 1.

Sam Quinn from CBS Sports discussed the NBA schedule and let’s just say he is not too happy about it.

“I don’t really get this,” tweeted Quinn. “The Heat made the Finals. They have a genuine rivalry with the Celtics that includes the last two East Finals. Why not let them play the first game and just play Lakers-Nuggets second? This is harder on West Coast fans anyway.”

This is a big game for fans of both teams. Of course, Darvin Ham may not include his superstars in it. Jokic may not see the floor as well. It is a long season and both teams count on the postseason as well.
