LeBron Jokingly ‘Block’ Rajon Rondo’s Layup After Not Receiving Alley-Opp Pass

The Los Angeles Lakers have an incredible season, and pretty much every player contributes to the game. That wasn’t the case last season. LeBron James and Rajon Rondo struggled in the minutes they shared together. Rondo struggled in the shooting game, and these struggles made him an odd fit next to King James.

Well, everything changed this season. LeBron and Rondo are pretty dangerous on the offense. Los Angeles outscores opponents by 17.4 points per 100 possessions with the du on the court.

Rondo had a rebound and ran a fastbreak during the game against the Atlanta Hawks. LeBron was open near the basket for an alley-oop. Rondo spotted it and knew his defender saw it too. So, he faked a pass, the defender fell for it, and Rondo went for a layup of his own. LeBron tried to have some fun, and “blocked” the shot. Yes, he wanted the two points.

Rajon and LeBron are great together

Things like this typically happen in a blowout, but the Hawks threw out a competitive game. Los Angeles won it, 101-96, and that makes this moment more impressive. LeBron and Rondo are really good, and they can do things like this in the middle of many important games.

Well, 23-3 teams can have fun, because their record allows them to do that. The Lakers have no problem winning games, and they do that with ease. Having fun helps them stay focused on the game. Joking around makes the game even more fun, and the Lakers can afford that. They can’t lose the top spot in the Western Conference.

LeBron promised his fans to win a championship, and that’s the only thing that will help him seal the GOAT status in the NBA. Kobe Bryant’s fans don’t really like the idea of having LeBron in town, and they may easily change their minds after this season.
