Patriots Tease New Uniforms, Reveal Date For Jersey Unveiling

By now, we are all well aware of the fact that the New England Patriots will look different in September. The roster will already be without the likes of the great Tom Brady, Stephen Gostkowski, Kyle Van Noy, and Jamie Collins. It looks like the team will literally look different in 2020.

The Patriots planned to change their uniforms this offseason. The information was first confirmed by a person familiar with the decision. This person spilled it to the Providence Journal and USA TODAY Network. The source spoke on condition of anonymity because the organization had yet to announce the change.

It wasn’t supposed to be a drastic change though. The team’s current logo won’t be changed either. New England plans to unveil the new uniforms on their social media platforms next month.

Patriots wideout Julian Edelman earlier teased a potential Patriots uniform change. He shared a photoshopped photo on his social media on March 13 that read, “Hearing rumors about new jerseys…”

In this photo, we could see him wearing an old-school Drew Bledsoe jersey from the 1990s. Those jerseys had a brighter shade of blue than the current designs do.

The Patriots will rock new uniforms

It really makes sense to start off the post-Brady era with a new uniform. The Patriots have embarked on the end of a historic era. They have already entered a new chapter.

We will witness plenty of changes across the league. The Patriots will join the Los Angeles Rams, Atlanta Falcons, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Cleveland Browns in changing their jerseys. The Associated Press also reports that the Indianapolis Colts will work on their logo and uniform.

According to most recent reports, the Patriots will unveil their updated jerseys Monday, April 20. They will also celebrate the Patriots Day in Massachusetts. The team also shared a brief teaser trailer.

The team will keep blue as their primary color. They will use some classic elements in the new uniforms. Of course, they won’t do a complete makeover as the Atlanta Falcons did. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have new jerseys too. It will be fun to watch this.
