Watch: Bill Belichick Argues With Officials, Bash Broncos O-Line During Patriots Loss

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick likes to have things straight and he even argues with referees whenever necessary. The brilliant head coach had something to say to referee Scott Novak in the 18-12 loss to the Denver Broncos.

Belichick argued with Novak after an uncalled holding penalty by Denver’s offensive line. That’s how Belichick viewed things.

The Patriots head coach was mic’d up for the game, and said “That’s holding!” before meeting Novak on the sideline.

“Scott, we’re getting tackled there on that play-action,” he said. “I don’t know how you let that go when they tackle him from behind. On this play-action right here about the 40-yard line on the last drive. I mean, he tackles him! C’mon, man. Like, this (Broncos offensive) line, all they do is punch in the face and hold.”

Bill Belichick argues for a reason

Belichick didn’t like the second-quarter heave by Denver’s Drew Lock. Patriots cornerback J.C. Jackson almost intercepted it. Offensive tackle Garrett Bowles hooked Patriots edge rusher Shilique Calhoun and wrestled him to the turf.

NFL Films cameras caught the Patriots coach and his reaction to Ryan Izzo and his lost fumble. This brought a promising drive to an end in the third quarter of the game.

“Ryan, that’s our catch-and-tuck drill right there,” the coach told Izzo once he made the sideline. “That’s our catch-and-tuck drill right there. Put it away.”

The New England Patriots have several problems to solve right now. COVID-19 is giving Belichick a big headache as he has to find a solution to every player that earns a spot on the covid list. New England played without some of its key players and lost two straight games. NFL analysts are concerned about Belichick’s team. From what we can see, the Patriots head coach is trying to keep everything under control. Will he manage to keep his players safe and healthy for San Francisco? Jimmy Garoppolo and his team will confront the Pats on Sunday. It’s a game you don’t want to miss at all. Cam Newton is ready for the challenge and so are his teammates.
