6-Time All-Star Likes Tweet Suggesting He Sign With Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers have almost completed the roster. This offseason was really important for the reigning champions, and they will do whatever it takes to defend the title. Lakers General Manager Rob Pelinka has brought several big names to LA, and he won’t stop here. Some fans are already encouraging Pelinka to bring a six-time All-Star to the Lakers.

LA lost Rajon Rondo and Danny Green this offseason but got young talents like Dennis Schroder and Montrezl Harrell. The signing of Marc Gasol is probably the most shocking move Pelinka did in the past couple of weeks. Adding a talented veteran seems like a perfect opportunity for LA, and LeBron James approves the move.

The Lakers may get Marc’s brother too. Pau was a key player for two Lakers championship runs. Marc has a chance to do the same. Pau may join his brother in the process. Eric Pincus from Bleacher Report shared a tweet about the potential signing of Pau Gasol. Guess what… Pau liked the tweet. He definitely likes the idea of playing alongside his talented brother. Finishing a lucrative NBA career with the Lakers is definitely an acceptable scenario for the Spanish native.

The all-star may be a good addition for the Lakers

Kobe Bryant was a true Lakers legend. But, Kobe wanted to leave the team in 2007. LA was stuck in the middle of nowhere, and the Black Mamba didn’t like any of that. The Lakers got Pau and everything changed. Los Angeles became a dominant force thanks to Kobe and Pau. The team won a title the second year Pau was with them.

Pau wasn’t the top Laker back then, but he was the most important player in the seasons between 2007-14. Maybe the Lakers will give him a chance to retire wearing purple and gold. He also deserves to have his jersey number hanging up in the rafters.

When it comes to his brother, Marc signed a two-year, $5.3 million deal with the team.  There’s no player or team option in his deal, so he will definitely stay around for two years. Not that bad, huh?
