Andre Drummond is living his dream and his 2011 tweet about LeBron James became reality. Sort of. The former Cleveland Cavaliers center signed a deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. It’s a big move for the team and the Lakers brought the 27-year-old to LA at the right time. Fans and analysts follow every move Drummond makes, and this time it’s related to Lakers superstar LeBron James.
The Cavaliers bought out his contract last week and Drummond entered free agency. The Lakers didn’t waste any time picking him up. Lakers General Manager Rob Pelinka offered him a deal right away. Truth is, LA wanted Drummond this whole time. The veteran center wanted to become a Laker, too. It was more than obvious that Drummond would put on a purple and gold uniform.
Los Angeles needs tons of help in the front court. They brought Drummond to LA for a reason. The Lakers play without LeBron and Anthony Davis and things look really hard at this point. Players struggled to win games and lost too many nights.
Andre Drummond wrote a tweet about LeBron James
Drummond hasn’t played in a month and ten days and he is more than excited to hit the floor. He joins the defending champions and both sides have great plans for the future.
LA will play without LeBron and AD for a while, but Drummond arrived right on time. He will address some of the issues LA has at the moment. Imagine him playing alongside LeBron and AD.
This leads us all the way to 2011 tweet.
Do you know that Drummond really wanted to play with or against LeBron? He will have to wait for a few weeks though. LA has yet to provide an update on LeBron’s return.
This deal is interesting in so many ways. Drummond has never played with a contender. He spent his entire career with the Detroit Pistons and Cleveland Cavaliers. He was the No.1 or 2 option with these teams. In LA, Drummond is expected to be the third and fourth option if Frank Vogel adds him to the starting lineup.
